Chai Tea

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of filtered water

  • 1 tbsp of fennel seeds

  • 1 star anise

  • 5 green cardamom pods, cracked open with mortar and pestle

  • 4 whole cloves

  • 1/2 cinnamon stick

  • 6 pepper corns

  • 2-3 slices of fresh ginger

  • 1 tbsp of loose leave rooibos tea or dandelion tea

  • 1 cup of milk of your choice

  • 1 tbsp of raw local honey

Method

Bring water to a boil.

Add spices and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes, add rooibos or dandelion tea and some nut milk or coconut milk and simmer for 5 more minutes.

Strain into two cups and serve with some raw local honey or monkfruit, stevia sweetener. Enjoy!
