Chai Tea
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients
3 cups of filtered water
1 tbsp of fennel seeds
1 star anise
5 green cardamom pods, cracked open with mortar and pestle
4 whole cloves
1/2 cinnamon stick
6 pepper corns
2-3 slices of fresh ginger
1 tbsp of loose leave rooibos tea or dandelion tea
1 cup of milk of your choice
1 tbsp of raw local honey
Method
Bring water to a boil.
Add spices and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes, add rooibos or dandelion tea and some nut milk or coconut milk and simmer for 5 more minutes.
Strain into two cups and serve with some raw local honey or monkfruit, stevia sweetener. Enjoy!
